Bridge Elementary 6-Week Tournament Chess Program- Spring 2024 (Fridays)

In the PowerChess Tournament Chess Program, students can expect to play weekly tournament games and learn new tactical patterns to enhance their knowledge of chess and game strategy. This program is perfect for students who have a firm understanding of the foundational principles taught in the PowerUP program and are ready to play in weekly tournament games. NEW material is featured in every program, focusing on checkmating patterns, tactical problem solving, and opening, middle, and endgame ideas. Jeremy Ranch Elementary 6-Week PowerUp Chess Program-Spring 2024 (Wednesdays)

The PowerUp Chess Program is a FUN 6-Week After-School Chess Program is an introductory Chess Program. Students learn basic piece movement, checkmate, stalemate, and castling. Repeating this course 2-3 times, or until mastery of the basic concepts is attained, is highly recommended to develop a solid chess foundation. Some of the documented benefits of chess instruction are improved critical thinking skills, increased math and verbal test scores, and a myriad of varied life skills.
