PowerChess’s Summer Camps are an excellent opportunity for students of all ages to improve their critical thinking skills and keep their minds engaged over the summer break. In the PowerChess Summer Camps, students will advance their chess knowledge and experience through presentations and hands-on application of new opening positions and tactical ideas, tournament-length gameplay, game analysis, and, yes, students will have the opportunity to play against each other in a BLITZ tournament! PowerChess Summer Camps are geared towards students who have, at a minimum, an understanding of chess piece movement, basic mating patterns, and a LOVE for everything chess. Students who have completed the PowerChess FUNdamentals class are at a perfect level to continue their progression with our summer camp offerings. Students will continue to grow in their mastery of the FUNdamentals of chess and build upon these ideas and skills in a positive, supportive learning environment.

Camp size is limited to 18 participants
