Stay on task during class time and use any free time to think about the next chess move and/or strategy. Disciplinary Plan of Action Coaches will follow the PowerChess disciplinary action plan for participants who fail to follow the PowerChess Code of Conduct. Please review the following and let us know if you have any questions:1st, 2nd, and 3rd Offenses First offense: The coach will issue a verbal warning to the student, explaining why their behavior is unacceptable and what changes they need to make. Second offense: If the misconduct continues during the same chess class, the coach may ask the student to sit aside for five minutes in the classroom and may email the parent to make them aware of the situation and to describe the behavior that needs correction. Third offense: Parents will be called and asked to pick up their child (Students who are asked to leave the classroom with their parent will need to schedule a follow-up meeting with the Owner of PowerChess before the student is allowed to return to the program). Physical and/or verbal abuse of any kind toward coaches or other students by a participant is not permitted at any time.
